Hi everyone! After a COVID-related hiatus, Cut the Mustard has final returned to the yearly Norwich University of the Arts Animation Work In Progress Conference, otherwise known as NUA ANI WIP.
We previously spoke in March 2020, just before the pandemic came into effect. You can read about that - here.
This year, Amy and Eleanor spoke about us, our history, and the benefits of working with your peers to create animation. Representing NUA is always a priority for us, as against all odds we've proven ourselves a successful graduate business, and since our big breaks came while studying and working on both our graduate films together, it's important to pass on that advice for how to transition from student to animator as smoothly as possible.
It was great to catch up with our old lecturers, meet the new generation of animators at NUA and sneak a look at NUA's new fancy lecture theatre.
Well done for these womanbosses for smashing it, thanks to everyone who listened, and we hope to be back next year to talk (maybe this year we'll get our name on the poster! Third time lucky).
Liam
